Introduced in 1994, the SN-95 generation of Mustangs was the first major redesign of the Mustang since the fox body generation appeared in 1979. It represented a major improvement in the Mustangs chassis, ergonomics, build quality, and styling. While the base GT suffered along with only a 215hp 5.0 liter V-8, Ford knew that the Mustang needed more power to fight battle with the 275hp V-8s in the Camaro Z28 and Trans Am. The answer came in the form of the Cobra midway through the 1994 model year. Ford upgraded the 5.0 V8 with GT 40 heads and intake, and a Cobra specific upper plenum. Power jumped to a more respectable 240hp. The 1995 Cobra you see here has been developed to make even more horsepower courtesy of a Vortech V-1 centrifugal supercharger. Assisting the supercharger is a Crane Hi6 igntion, MSD cap, Ford Racing wireset, and aftermarket dual exhaust. Helping to put all that power to use is a fully adjustable front and rear suspension by Maximum Motorsports, while Brembo brakes on slotted rotors are there to save the day should you find yourself cooking it a little too hot into a corner.
